Primary schools poster winners.

The theme was ‘Celebrating Blackburn’ a follow on from the P6+P7 Schools Conference.

Each year Blackburn Community Council and Community Action Blackburn support an annual schools poster competition which Blackburn, Murrayfield,
Our Lady of Lourdes Primary schools and Pinewood School take part in.
The theme for this year’s competition was ‘Celebrating Blackburn’ which is a follow on from this year’s P6+P7 Joint Schools Conference.
Each entry is judged by an independent panel who have the difficult job of selecting winners, this year there were 282 entries from the schools.
The Community Council provides a trophy for each school for taking part and Community Action Blackburn Provides a £20.00 Asda voucher for each winner.
Community Action Blackburn then produce a calendar from the winners and every school pupil in the village receives a copy, so watch out for your copy.
If you don’t have a child at school there are always extra copies of the calendar available at the library for a small donation to their Friday Club.
This year will have a slight difference in that each school will then work together to produce a poster for the remaining 4 months of the calendar.
